About This Course

There are over 400 years of documented golf at Dunbar. Established in 1856, Dunbar Golf Club is located on 'Scotland's Golf Coast' in East Lothian.

The true links course, redesigned over the years by the likes of Old Tom Morris, boasts well-defined holes which follow the natural contours of a narrow strip of linksland between the old red sandstone deer park wall and the rocky shoreline that are hallmarks of the links.

"Could I just say how much my husband and I enjoyed playing at Dunbar on our visit. Everyone was so helpful, particularly in the Pro shop when, courtesy of paying attention to the weather forecast, we were able to switch our time to earlier in the day. The staff in the clubhouse were also lovely and most helpful too. We loved the course itself, really enjoying our round and would love to play it again in the future."

"Our day at Dunbar was spectacular, we know we were on special grounds with special people and history. Jacky and his staff provided a warm friendly and engaging greeting... We proceeded to experience one of the finest links courses in the world. Muirfield, Carnoustie, North Berwick and Gullane each have their special characteristics and historical importance, and Dunbar Golf Club and your links are worthy in every sense to the others."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time playing what I feel is one of the very best courses in the world. In fact, if I were to join any club in Scotland it would be Dunbar Golf Club. I have played all over the 'home of golf' and I am completely smitten by the allure and charm of your links. I absolutely love the piece of land that your glorious course is designed upon. There are very few courses that one would never tire of playing every day and Dunbar Golf Club's unique qualities would continue to attract me day in and day out."
