Opened in 2009 on the dunes next to Machrihanish Golf Club, where Old Tom Morris once declared 'The Almichty maun hae had gowf in his e'e when he made this place.' It is the only course ever created on a Site of Special Scientific Interest — of its 259 acres only seven were disturbed in construction, and the fairways are simply the natural dunescape mown shorter. It has been recognised more than 40 times since opening.

Six greens and five tees sit at the ocean's edge. The 620-yard 8th is the longest hole; the 4th is a short par 4 reachable downwind; the 5th and 6th are back-to-back par 3s; and the narrow-fairwayed par-5 16th is the hardest of the long holes.
Course Conditions
Firm, natural fescue links kept in check by grazing sheep, with only tees and greens shaped. Expect blind shots, big bunkers and uneven lies; the course changes with the weather.
