A nine-hole heathland/moorland course on the east coast of Kintyre with panoramic views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran — small greens, natural hazards, and described as 'the most sporting nine-hole course in Scotland'.
Founded in 1906. The credit for originating the course belongs to the laird, Austin Mackenzie, who marked out the ground himself; a Mr Munro (probably John Munro, the Machrihanish greenkeeper) reviewed the layout. The original nine holes ran between Airds and Portrigh; the current clubhouse was opened in 2009 by Belle Robertson, an honorary member, and Peter Thomson is among the famous names to have played it.
