Kilmarnock (Barassie)
Troon

Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club is to be found on the outskirts of Troon on the west coast of Scotland offering 27 wonderful links holes to club members and visitors alike throughout the year.
Formed on 25 November 1887 by fourteen men at the George Hotel in Kilmarnock, who found Troon and Gailes too far to travel; the first nine holes were at Holmes Farm. In 1894 the club secured its present site at Barassie beside the railway. In the early 1990s nine new holes were added and combined with nine of the traditional course to form today's Barassie Links, with the remaining traditional holes becoming the Hillhouse nine.
