Kilmarnock (Barassie)'s nine-hole Hillhouse course — formed from nine holes of the club's traditional layout, sitting between the Barassie Links and the Ayr–Glasgow railway line. A true test with gorse and sand throughout and 'some of the finest holes in Ayrshire'.
The Hillhouse holes are part of the club's traditional course at Barassie, where Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club (founded 1887) moved in 1894. When nine new holes were built in the early 1990s to create the Barassie Links, the remaining traditional holes became the Hillhouse nine.
